Three CNN employees resign over retracted story on Russia ties – Washington Post

Thomas Frank, a reporter for “CNN Investigates,” last Thursday appeared to have a compelling exclusive on the story of the year. The Senate Intelligence Committee, reported Frank, was investigating a Russian investment fund — the Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) — “whose chief executive met with a member of President Donald Trump’s transition team four days before Trump’s inauguration.”

That transition team official is Anthony Scaramucci, a Wall Streeter who was expected to take a prominent White House position but did not. Scaramucci met in January with RDIF head Kirill Dmitriev.

The CNN exclusive — which hung from one unnamed source — didn’t take long to wither.

On a related note, there’s been an internal crackdown inside CNN regarding Russia/Trump hysteria stories:

CNN is cracking down on how it covers Russia – NY Post

An internal email obtained by BuzzFeed News outlines the publishing restrictions that the network has laid out in the wake of the controversy.

It was sent out Saturday morning by CNNMoney executive editor Rich Barbieri.

“No one should publish any content involving Russia without coming to me and Jason,” he wrote, in reference to a CNN vice president.

“This applies to social, video, editorial, and MoneyStream. No exceptions,” Barbieri added. “I will lay out a workflow Monday. Thanks.”

The new rules reportedly apply to other areas of CNN, and not just CNNMoney.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian or Independent, this is a positive development.  The people that founded this country put mechanisms in place to keep this country free from a tyrannical government.  Our right to firearms was one.  Another is the freedom to say what we want and criticize whom we want.  But that freedom of speech wasn’t just about the citizens, it was about a fourth estate that was free to doggedly and honorably cover the government to make sure that the people we elected were doing their jobs with integrity and honor and that they obeyed the rule of law.

Now, this post could go on for pages and pages if we wanted to fully detail the fall of our free press.  We could go back to 1947 when the National Security Act was issued and consequently created a State within a State.  The CIA was ultimately born that day and by the 1970’s, that virus of an agency had infiltrated every major newsroom in the country.  The mystery is at whose request this was done.  It does not appear that this illegal and abjectly unconstitutional program of media infiltration was ordered by the Executive Branch.  Fast forward to today and the MSM/FNM works hand in glove with the CIA;  every major network, cable and newspaper outlet fully compromised.  Inappropriate editorials and questions are quashed by editors on the payroll, annoyingly independent journalists are either beaten down to the point of leaving or they learn to toe the line.

CNN is only one network trying to bring down an independent President, although they may be the least discreet about their goals.  The firing of some of the scumbags that propagated this treasonous shit is important, but the bigger story is that the Trump/Russia narrative is not only being defeated, but in being defeated the FNM has been laid bare for what it is to many of the people that did not support Trump.   Of course the hardcore Hillbots and Anti-Trumpers can never see past their ideological subversion, but for all but the hopelessly brainwashed, they’ve seen what the Fake News Media is all about.  Control of your mind.

Americans cast off some shackles today.
