Last week two world chess champions, Irina Krush and Mariya Muzychuk withdrew from the World Chess Championship tournament. The tournament is being hosted in Iran and the host country insisted that all visiting female players wear a hijab.
The two women refused.
This is feminism. Hell, this is heroism; Doing what’s right at the cost of personal sacrifice. They rejected oppression instead of inviting it like the stupid twats at the D.C. women’s march. These are the kinds of women that should be role models for our young girls.
A final thought since I’m sure some will react to this story with some bullshit line about moral relativism and how we need to “respect other cultures that are different from our own”. The respect ends when the oppression starts.
