It looks like enough of the Brexit votes are being counted to matter:
I have heard numerous reasons as to why Great Britain should stay in the European Union. Some of them have even been reasonably well supported and bordering on logical. But there’s one big reason for the UK (and all other countries) to leave the European Union that trumps all the reasons to stay:
It is profoundly undemocratic.
The closer your elected leaders are to you, the citizen, the easier it is to hold them accountable. The inverse holds true. The EU brought with it numerous unelected officials that the European citizens have not a shred of control over. The more local a government is, the better. This is one of the many reasons that State rights in the United States are so critical.
