Bill Nye, the science guy, is open to criminal charges and jail time for climate change dissenters – Washington Times
“In these cases, for me, as a taxpayer and voter, the introduction of this extreme doubt about climate change is affecting my quality of life as a public citizen,” Mr. Nye said. “So I can see where people are very concerned about this, and they’re pursuing criminal investigations as well as engaging in discussions like this.”
Mr. Nye’s comments come with a coalition of liberal attorneys general pursuing companies that challenge the consensus of catastrophic climate change. Critics fear the campaign could chill research and free speech.
This is the tyranny that is approaching. Don’t believe for a second that Nye said this on his own. For those of you paying attention, you’ve noticed the slow but steady increase in comments like this from public figures on the Left. The message to their drones is always the same: You don’t need to listen to the counter-argument because the people that disagree with you are bad people. And don’t worry about what we do with them, because they are the other. They’re not smart like you and I.
Just 9 months ago, General Wesley Clark suggested that “disloyal Americans” (ie Americans that believe the Constitution trumps the actions of the Federal Government) should be put into internment camps:
If these people are radicalized and don’t support the United States, and they’re disloyal to the United States, as a matter of principal that’s fine, that’s their right. It’s our right and our obligation to segregate them from the normal community for the duration of the conflict.
– General Wesley Clark in a MSNBC interview
He’s not talking about radical Islamists here in the country, he’s talking about Constitutionalists, the Tea Party, Libertarians and classical liberals.
It’s all about shutting down dialogue and splintering the citizenry so that eventually, they can take care of the misbehaving citizens who aren’t willing to get on board with the new program.
You don’t understand just how bad things are going to get if you don’t stand up now.
