An excellent (and correct) analysis by Ben Swann of the ISIS/Syria/Russia conflict through the lens of the insanity spouted by the White House and the majority of the Republican candidates for President.
Bitter Clingers 2.0 – PJ Media
Are we to believe that Obama’s dismal popularity and mostly failed legislative record were due to the innate prejudice and the fears of a vanishing white male electorate? If so, few presidents have entered office with such wide party majorities in both houses of Congress and impressive public approval ratings. In contrast, does Obama remember the poll ratings of the last white male president when he too left office? Was George W. Bush’s lower 37% approval rating as he neared the end of his tenure due to “who he was”? Did it thus likewise reflect an even greater prejudice against a white Christian southerner?
Does Obama believe that if he had balanced the budget, continued the prior war on terror against radical Islam, cut out the incoherent class-warfare rhetoric, kept peacekeepers in Iraq, enforced federal laws, avoided racially polarizing rhetoric, and sought to reform the tax code and entitlements rather than drive through Obamacare with prevarication and without a single Republican vote, his popularity ratings would now be at 43%?
If a white liberal president had compiled the same far-left record as Obama, would those in West Virginia have supported him solely because of his race? In contrast, had Obama pursued a policy of helping the poor of Appalachia by promoting clean coal technologies rather than promising to bankrupt the coal industry and to send electricity rates soaring, would he have been so disliked?
No other president has so consciously tried to divide the country by race since Woodrow Wilson.
It is not coincidence that both men were/are abject racists.
The latest dilemma facing economists is why “unequivocally good” low oil prices haven’t sparked exuberant consumer spending across America. We have discussed the simple (though awkward for the establishment) answer many times – soaring costs for ‘shelter’ and healthcare have hoovered up every penny saved (and more); and now, a new study proves it– exposing the reality that many Obamacare customers pay more than 10 percent of their incomes toward coverage (and some paying considerably more).
The shocking findings show that, as CNBC summarizes, One in 10 Obamacare customers who earn between just two and five times the federal poverty level will have coverage costs that exceed 21 percent of their incomes, an analysis by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Urban Institute found.
Sadly, only those few people in this country with a fucking brain in their head saw this coming. And the predicted death spiral has begun.
None of this data is secret. So when the President looks into the camera and says “The debate is over, the law is working”, he is very consciously and deliberately lying to you.
The article is a few months old, but the reporting is as important now as ever..
Russia FM Lavrov Calls Out US For Protecting ISIS; Says US Has ‘Ulterior Motives’ In Syria – Activist Post
“If coalition forces acted together with the government of the Syrian Arab Republic – and not only their sworn ally, the Iraqi government – and harmonized their approaches with those of Syrian armed forces on the ground, the combined effect would have been much stronger than what we have now,” Lavrov stated.
While Lavrov’s statements are important, they represent only a new dimension to the conflict as a result of being uttered by a Russian state official. It is now well-known amongst informed circles that the United States has not only used ISIS as an excuse to target Syrian infrastructure and now to justify a direct military conflict with the Syrian government, but also that the United States routinely protects, defends, and resupplies ISIS on the ground, even as it claims it is fighting a war against the organization.
Lavrov’s statements also echo the unheeded calls of other rational foreign policy proponents who have suggested that the real solution to ISIS terrorism in the Middle East and, particularly in Syria, is simply for the West and its Gulf allies to stop funding the terrorists allow the Assad government, Iraqis, and the Kurds – along with Iran and Hezbollah – to cut off supply lines and destroy ISIS and its affiliates in place.
The U.S. goal, however, has never been the destruction of ISIS, but of the Assad government. For the sake of the Syrian people and the people of the world, that must not be allowed to happen.
Florida’s Vero Beach Dig Site May Rewrite the Prehistory, Dating Back 14,000 Years – Orlando Sentinel
Archeology is an incredibly frustrating science to an informed outsider because the archeological establishment is so incredibly adept at ignoring new information, information that dramatically changes the history of human beings.
One such site is Vero Beach:
The dig’s story began a century ago, with the Indian River Farms Company dredging a canal in a backwater called Vero in 1913 — the actual town of Vero Beach wouldn’t exist for another six years. The dredging turned up old bones and other artifacts, which in turn drew the attention of state geologist Elias Sellards. He excavated over the next couple years, turning up more evidence of ancient human habitation.
Given the depth of the artifacts and the layers of rock around them, Sellards put human habitation in the area at 14,000 years ago, and was promptly laughed out of the archaeology business.
Thankfully, digging and research will resume at Vero this coming year. Hopefully the findings and implications of this site won’t be simply ignored by the archeological community the way they’ve ignored Gobekli Tepe and geological findings at the Sphinx.
The Virginian Attorney General has revoked concealed carry gun permit reciprocity for 25 states. His reasoning? Terrorism:
“Evenly, consistently and fairly enforcing Virginia’s concealed handgun permit law, as we are now doing, means that it will be more difficult for potentially dangerous individuals to conceal their handguns here in Virginia and that will make Virginians safer, especially Virginian law enforcement,” Herring said.
To get a concealed carry permit in any state, you need to pass an extremely thorough background check and some of these states on the AG’s list carry out monthly background checks on all permit holders to verify that they are still qualified to hold that permit. This is in addition to training and certification required just to be able to apply for the permit.
Try to find the number of concealed carry owners in this country that have committed any crime. Go ahead, I’ll wait. …… …. . .. Give up? That’s because concealed carry permit holders are:
-5.7 times less likely to be arrested for a violent offense than the general public.
-12.5 times less likely to be arrested for a non-violent offense than the general public.
Concealed carry permit holders are significantly more law abiding than your average citizen. This is not opinion, this is fact backed up by FBI crime statistics.
All of this is going on in Virginia while we are letting thousands of Muslim refugees into the country with little to no screening. Any idiot can see that this AG is simply using his power to circumvent concealed carry law. His decree will not make Virginians safer. In fact, he has done the opposite just so that he can attack the 2nd Amendment. So what can those of you in favor of more gun control learn from this?
Situations like the one described above are not unique and consequently, WE DON’T FUCKING TRUST YOU. YOU AND YOUR ILK LIE. REPEATEDLY.
And consequently, we will fight any and all of your attempts at “gun control”.
…and my head just exploded.
First, President Barry actually played the race card last Friday on Donald Trump:
“If you are referring to specific strains in the Republican Party that suggest that somehow I’m different, I’m Muslim, I’m disloyal to the country, etc. — which unfortunately is pretty far out there, and gets some traction in certain pockets of the Republican Party, and that have been articulated by some of their elected officials — what I’d say there is that that’s probably pretty specific to me, and who I am and my background,” Mr. Obama told Steve Inskeep, the host of “Morning Edition” on NPR. “In some ways, I may represent change that worries them.”
Of course, the above content is nothing new. These exact words have been used by Democrat operatives in politics and the media in a not-so-subtle effort to paint criticisms of the President as not being substantive because you see, those people criticizing him are racist so don’t bother listening to them. That approach has been spectacularly effective in convincing Obama voters to stick cotton balls in their ears and to keep worshipping their little Barry shrines in the corner of their bedroom.
But the best part is the final quote from the article:
“I think it’s a healthy thing for young people to be engaged, and to question authority,” Mr. Obama said. “I do think that there have been times on college campuses where I get concerned that the unwillingness to hear other points of view can be as unhealthy on the left as on the right.”
He cited as examples student protests last year of planned appearances by Christine Lagarde, the head of the International Monetary Fund, at Smith College, and Condoleezza Rice, the former secretary of state, at Rutgers University that led both women to withdraw.
“Feel free to disagree with somebody,” the president said, “but don’t try to just shut them up.”
If there’s been a coherent message from the professional Left in politics, media and academia over the last decade, it has been: “Those people disagreeing with us are wrong and they are bad. Don’t bother listening or being persuaded by their arguments or statistics or facts because of this. Don’t have a rational debate, kill the debate any way you can. Here’s a shovel to dig a hold so that you can bury your head.”
There’s no limit to what this man will say to get power. And honestly, why should their be? He can say the most absurd, outrageous statements imaginable and about 40% of the population will line up eagerly just to get a chance to sniff his chair after he gets up.
House Speaker Paul Ryan defends massive spending deal, brushes off conservative critics – Washington Times
Movement to Primary Speaker Paul Ryan Out of Congress Picks Up Steam – The Gateway Pundit
I’d like someone to tell me how the budget deal that was passed last week could be worse if Democrats ran Congress? The Democrats and their constituents have lost their collective minds (Yes, I realize it’s not much). A majority of the American people are against their agenda and never has there been a time where so many Republicans were elected to Federal office who promised to do one thing, but then did exactly the opposite. There are ugly days ahead for this country.
