A family member today spoke with a prominent congressman from our state today. This Congressman is one of the few that I’m aware of on either side that is not bought and paid for. He attempted to author a bill that would prevent Obama from acting in Syria without consent of the Congress and the bill was shut down unanimously in committee by his own party (Democrat).
The issue isn’t even being debated in congress:
Cruz: Why is Parliament — but not Congress — debating Syria? – Daily Caller
This Democrat congressman went on to refer to our President as “Our Imperial President” three times during his discussion with my relative.
Folks, especially you people on the Left, you’d better raise your damn voices. This isn’t about terrorism, this isn’t about oil, this is about World War 3.
Colorado’s grass-roots revolt against the gun-grabbers – Michelle Malkin
Through hard work and local activism, the grassroots campaign gathered 16,000 signatures in three months to qualify the recall for the ballot. Morse “changed state Senate committee rules, which effectively silenced the voices of hundreds of Colorado citizens from testifying on legislation” affecting them, Harris points out. While Democrats made room for out-of-state astronaut Mark Kelly, husband of former Arizona congresswoman and Tucson shooting survivor Gabby Giffords, to testify before the legislature, the majority Dems manipulated the process so that untold numbers of Colorado residents who support the Second Amendment were frozen out.
In his new No. 1 New York Times bestseller, “The Liberty Amendments,” Mark Levin calls for citizen activists to use the tools and principles the Founding Fathers bestowed upon us to restore the balance of power back to “we, the people.” The spirit of George Washington animates the important battle here in Colorado. As Washington wrote to his nephew in 1787:
“The power under the Constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can, and undoubtedly will, be recalled.”
The issue of gun control in Colorado and the response to it by people who believe in the Constitution is SO much bigger than just that issue itself. This is a clear example of a group of people raising their voices and getting a corrupt government under control. You CAN do something about what’s going on but you have to speak up. You have to encourage others to speak up. You have a voice that can change the direction of this country but you must use it.
Harvard Study: No Correlation Between Gun Control and Less Violent Crime – Breitbart
Looking at Western Europe, the study shows that Norway “has far and away Western Europe’s highest household gun ownership rate (32%), but also its lowest murder rate.”
And when the study focuses on intentional deaths by looking at the U.S. vs Continental Europe, the findings are no less revealing. The U.S., which is so often labeled as the most violent nation in the world by gun control proponents, comes in 7th–behind Russia, Estonia, Lativa, Lithuania, Belarus, and the Ukraine–in murders. America also only ranks 22nd in suicides.
The murder rate in Russia, where handguns are banned, is 30.6; the rate in the U.S. is 7.8.
The authors of the study conclude that the burden of proof rests on those who claim more guns equal more death and violent crime; such proponents should “at the very least [be able] to show a large number of nations with more guns have more death and that nations that impose stringent gun controls have achieved substantial reductions in criminal violence (or suicide).” But after intense study the authors conclude “those correlations are not observed when a large number of nations are compared around the world.”
In fact, the numbers presented in the Harvard study support the contention that among the nations studied, those with more gun control tend toward higher death rates.
This data is not a secret to the Democrat party. So why are they still so eager to take your guns?
August 2013 Ratings: MSNBC Down Double Digits – Media Bistro
My favorite part:
In primetime, “The Rachel Maddow Show” posted all-time low ratings in total and demo viewers, down -43% and -47%, respectively.
Apparently not even the American version of Pravda can force people to watch it. Yet.
Does Obama know he’s fighting on al-Qa’ida’s side? – UK Independent
Video: Biden Threatening to Impeach President If He Launches an Attack Without Congressional Authority – Breitbart.com
The media is doing its best to sell an attack on Syria to the American people. It’s amazing how they’ve gone all in on this. This is not the same as going into Libya or Egypt without Congressional authority. This is not the same as when we went into Afghanistan or Iraq with Congressional authority under Bush.
As I said before, the prize here is Iran and Russia knows it. Action towards Syria will be interpreted as an action directly towards Russia. The people that control Obama know this. From chaos comes order. What do you think would happen to our civil liberties if Russia threatens to retaliate?
This post is titled “A Plea” for a reason. We have to act. Now, the people in the middle and on the Right can act. They can call their Congressman as I did today. But unfortunately, criticism from the Right will be disregarded as the rantings of a bunch of racists and extremists. People on the Left must raise their voices.
I won’t kid myself and pretend that people on the Left read this blog. I know there’s a few of you but that’s about it. But what needs to happen is for all of you to urge the people you know on the Left to speak out. Urge them to contact their congressman and in no uncertain terms let them know that they do not support military action in Syria.
I can’t emphasize enough that this is not just another example of the U.S. playing world police. The stakes are far, far higher.
Black lawmakers lament flaring of racial tensions under Obama – The Hill
When President Obama follows in Martin Luther King Jr.’s footsteps on Wednesday with an address at the Lincoln Memorial, he will face a nation where race remains the great divide.
Black lawmakers say the election of the nation’s first African-America president has not been a salve for racial tensions, a view that the public has also voiced in recent polling.
While Democratic lawmakers place the lion’s share of the blame on Republicans for the state of affairs, they betray disappointment that more progress has not been made since the civil rights movement won its biggest victories.
Some suggestions to avoid this problem in the future:
1. Stop accusing everyone who disagrees with you as racist.
2. Perhaps the President shouldn’t get involved in issues like the Martin/Zimmerman trial. Saying stupid shit like “Trayvon could have been my son” when it’s the President’s job to calm a mob, not inflame it is generally a bad idea. Doubly so when Obama’s genetics are far similar to George Zimmerman’s than Trayvon Martin’s.
3. The Vice President saying “They gonna put cha’ll back in chains” on the campaign trail when speaking to a Black audience about Republicans does little to foster racial harmony.
Fuck me, I could list a hundred different items on here. The bottom line is that this Administration and the Democrat Party leadership has chosen as a matter of strategy to foster as much racial division and hatred as possible. Divide and conquer.
And any of you Liberals that read this blog, if you think this is a bunch of nonsense: go boil your fucking head. It’ll raise your IQ by at least 20 points. The Democrat party cares nothing about racial harmony in this country because they don’t win elections when they can’t portray Republicans as a bunch of Klan members. All the while Blacks in this country are worse off than they’ve ever been.
Russia: No Proof Syrian Government Behind Chemical Weapons Attack – CBS News
Step back and forget everything the media has told you about Assad and Syria. Forget everything and just use your common sense.
Assad has enormous stockpiles of conventional weapons: Tanks, artillery and more importantly, a large personal army well equipped with small arms: Assault rifles, grenades, sidearms. If he’s been given a direct challenge by President Obama and the U.N. that promises military action if he uses chemical weapons, why would he use chemical weapons when he has more than enough conventional firepower to deal with the “rebels”?
You are being lied to.
Internet Architects Plan Counter-Attack On NSA Snooping – Zerohedge
“Not having encryption on the web today is a matter of life and
death,” is how one member of the Internet Engineering Task Force – IETF
(the so-called architects of the web) described the current situation. As the
FT reports, the IETF have started to fight back against US and UK snooping
programs by drawing up an ambitious plan to defend traffic over the world wide
web against mass surveillance. The proposal is a system in which all
communication between websites and browsers would be shielded by encryption.
While the plan is at an early stage, it has the potential to transform a
large part of the internet and make it more difficult for governments, companies
and criminals to eavesdrop on people as they browse the web. “There has
been a complete change in how people perceive the world,” since Snowden exposed
the NSA’s massive surveillance efforts, and while “not a silver bullet,” the
chief technologist at security firm RSA notes, “anything that improves trust in
this digital world is a noble aim.”
It’s not often that I get to post good news. Now, keep in mind, there’s not a single piece of consumer grade encryption software out there that the NSA cannot hack quickly or has a backdoor key for. But with an encrypted infrastructure, there’s no way possible that the NSA can engage in the kind of mass spying on all internet traffic the way they have been. There’s simply not enough processing capacity in the world, even with the cpu architecture that the NSA has.. The last bit is something that’s probably worth a post of its own one of these days as I was given some insight a while back as to just how far ahead the NSA’s computer hardware is from what consumers have access to.
But I digress, it’s nice to be able to post some positive news.
Hungary Sheds Bankers’ Shackles – American Free Press
Hungary is making history of the first order. Not since the 1930s in Germany has a major European country dared to escape from the clutches of the Rothschild-controlled international banking cartels. This is stupendous news that should encourage nationalist patriots worldwide to increase the fight for freedom from financial tyranny.
I applaud you, Hungary.. But be careful, before you know it you’ll be accused of using chemical weapons against your own citizens or flying airplanes into skyscrapers.
NSA paid millions to cover Prism compliance costs for tech companies – UK Guardian
The National Security Agency paid millions of dollars to cover the costs of major internet companies involved in the Prism surveillance program after a court ruled that some of the agency’s activities were unconstitutional, according to top-secret material passed to the Guardian.
The technology companies, which the NSA says includes Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and Facebook, incurred the costs to meet new certification demands in the wake of the ruling from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance (Fisa) court.
These companies took money from the NSA to spy on you. Lots of good alternatives from the software that these companies make.
